IWC always needs and appreciates its volunteers. But over the summer we especially need help as numerous volunteers take much-needed summer breaks. To exacerbate matters, we anticipate there will be an increase in migrants coming through San Antonio due to the closing of the immigration detention facility in Dilley, Texas. This will likely lead to an increase in migrants at both the airport and bus station.
The bus station (especially on weekends), San Antonio Airport, and Mobile Loaves and Fishes outreach and food delivery shifts particularly need volunteers. Please consider helping this summer – even if you only have a few hours to devote to the cause. To volunteer, click here.
