The Department of Justice is suing Texas and Gov. Greg Abbott after he refused to remove the floating barrier and razor wire erected earlier this month on the Rio Grande near Eagle Pass. Abbott is defiant, and disturbing reports from Operation Lone Star continue:
- We’re once again seeing family separations—this time, by the DPS
- State police are now imprisoning women immigrants on “trespassing” charges
- Abbott has been acquiring intrusive—and potentially abusive—cellphone tracking software from Israel
Please tell the DOJ that their lawsuit is not enough. Urge them to investigate and take action against these illegal and racist violations of civil rights.
