The Texas legislature’s regular session ended May 29th. And you let us know you made 597 calls to legislators opposing anti-immigration bills! Thank you for taking action. (Click here to read why phone calls are more effective than emails.)
The flood of phone calls possibly helped stall passage of those bills, but our work isn’t over. Now Governor Abbott has called a special session, and legislation like HB 7, codifying into law the expensive and oppressive Operation Lone Star, is high on his agenda. We’ll need to keep making our voices heard.
