Need:
Isolated housing (guest house, B&B, etc) for a Venezuelan mother and her 4-year-old son for approximately 1 month. Food will be delivered.
Situation:
When the family arrived in the US they were immediately quarantined because the father and the child both tested positive for TB. They immediately began treatment through Metro Health (UHS). The father will be able to continue his treatment in an inpatient center. The mother & child need a place to stay for the little boy to complete his treatment or until he is no longer contagious. The treatment meds and frequent testing of the mom will be brought to them by Metro Health. The Interfaith Welcome Coalition will provide food and laundry service.
