“AMERICAN SCAR”: THE ENVIRONMENTAL TRAGEDY OF THE BORDER WALL (13 min. documentary)

The border wall was touted as a matter of national security, yet has proven ineffectual in preventing border crossings. Exempt from regulations including the Endangered Species Act and Clean Water and Clean Air Acts, its construction is causing permanent damage to desert ecosystems and endangering over 70 species and, according to The New Yorker, “could alter the evolutionary future of North America.” Directed by Daniel Lombroso, this powerful short documentary was released on April 30  as part of The New Yorker Documentary.
