Pastor John Garland Speaks at April 2022 IWC General Meeting

At our April 2022 general meeting, Pastor John Garland virtually escorted us through the Mennonite Church’s newly revitalized daytime respite center for migrant individuals and families and introduced us to church volunteers. Church hosts greet their guests with gentle care, having trained themselves to use simple, specific approaches which alleviate anxiety and respect the dignity of each adult or child. There are chairs and tables for conversation, eating, and planning, as well as showers, a nursery, an outdoor playground, and a commercial kitchen. See the video tour here.
