In February 2023 IWC served 495 individuals at the airport, and 814 individuals at the bus station for a total of 1,309 people. As of the end of February, IWC has served 4,396 people – a monthly average of 2,198.
These impressive numbers are the lowest level of arrivals in two years. Most arrivals are individuals who crossed in Laredo, Eagle Pass, Brownsville, or Hidalgo with a Title 42 exemption appointment.
We still have needs for:
- Evening shift (6-10 p.m.) volunteers.
- Lyft volunteers: remote, training provided, work 4-6 hour shifts a few times a month.
- Russian speakers for phone translation.
