Alejandra Rodriguez, the IWC volunteer coordinator, joined Manijeh Huereca, associate director of specialized programs at Catholic Charities, in a panel discussion at Temple Beth El titled “Welcoming the Stranger: A Forum on Migration in San Antonio,” following Sabbath services on Saturday, May 4.

Rabbi Marina Yergin led a text study to anchor the group in Jewish values concerning immigration. The panelists then explored the current immigration trends, the initiatives of their agencies in supporting migrants, and the possible contributions of congregation volunteers.
